he becomes rather intimate with the recipients. He calls Timothy “our brother” and mentions that Timothy, having been released from prison, will accompany him to visit the readers (13:23). The letter ends with greetings (13:24), and therefore in view of this last chapter Hebrews is indeed a letter. The beginning of Hebrews has something in common with the First Epistle of John.
